The name aventurine derives from the
Italian word "a ventura" meaning "by chance". This is an
allusion to the lucky discovery of aventurine glass at some point in the
18th century. Aventurine is a form of Quartz and is mainly characterized by its
translucency because the surface is quite shimmering and glistening.
Aventurine is an extremely positive
stone and the zodiac signs associated with it are Aries and Leo. It is also
