is Obsidian?
Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed as an extrusive
igneous rock……too much of scientific words to understand. Plainly put obsidian
is a natural volcanic glass rock. Its called volcanic rock because it forms
when lava from the volcano cools rapidly with minimum crystal growth.
It is found in many colors like black, mahogany, etc.
Healing Properties
Its major healing properties are cleansing and revealing truth. Its also
called as stone of truth as it can reveal ones inner truth. Its also
called the cleansing stone as it draws out the negative energy and
protect the wearer from such. This stone’s powerful aura shields one from the

Uses of Obsidian
During formation, obsidian fractures with very sharp edges and since its
also very hard and brittle, hence in past it was also used in cutting and
piercing tools. Some surgeons do use it in their scalpel blades.
